Mesura Privacy Policy

Mesura is an iPhone app published by Abdalla Ahmed. This page explains what the app does with your information.

The short version

• The app has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party code.
• What you enter stays on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account.
• We cannot see your data. We run no server, and the app sends us nothing.

What the app stores

• Purchases. The merchant, amount, date, category, province, and the app’s sales tax estimate. If you set up the Shortcuts automation for Apple Pay, each purchase it logs holds the merchant, amount, and card name as Wallet passes them to the automation. The app never receives a card number, and it has no access to Wallet, to your bank, or to your transaction history.
• Income and bills. The names, amounts, and schedules you type in.
• Settings. Your home province, the account balance you choose to enter (if any) and when you entered it, whether you finished setup, and your choice of light or dark appearance.

Where it is stored

• On your iPhone, in the app’s own storage.
• In your iCloud account, when you are signed in to iCloud and iCloud is turned on for the app. The app uses your private iCloud database so that your data appears on your other devices. Only you can read that database. We cannot. Apple stores it under Apple’s privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

If you sign out of iCloud or turn iCloud off for the app, iOS removes the synced copy from that device. It stays in your iCloud account and comes back when you turn iCloud on again.

Location

The app asks for your location only if you tap “Use my location” while choosing your home province. It reads your location once and asks Apple’s maps service which province that is. The app then keeps the province and discards the location. It does not record where you are, and it does not check again unless you tap the button again.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, receive, sell, or share personal information, and we do not track you across apps or websites.

Exporting

You can export your purchases as a CSV file from Settings. The file goes only where you choose to send it.

Deleting your data

• Delete any purchase, income, or bill inside the app.
• Deleting the app removes its data from that device.
• To remove the copy in iCloud, open the Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud, then manage your storage, choose Mesura, and delete its data.

Because we hold none of your information, there is nothing for us to look up, correct, or delete on your behalf.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
